Migrate from Mercately to ChatSales

Export your contacts from Mercately

1. Open the CRM.
2. Optionally filter by agent, lists, tags, funnels or creation date.
3. Click “Actions” and choose to export as Excel or CSV.

Files can be downloaded for 7 days; if the download fails, you can get it by email. Another article says up to 9,999 contacts per operation. Based on Mercately's public documentation, reviewed on September 29, 2026; menus may change.

Export your chat history

1. Use Mercately's API: GET /customer/{id}/whatsapp_conversations to retrieve conversations.

Per Mercately, the platform doesn't allow exporting conversations directly.

Export your deals / pipeline

1. Open the “Deals” module from the left menu.
2. Click “Actions”.
3. Select “Export funnel to CSV”.

Format: CSV, with customer, stage, deal name, amount, status and estimated dates, among other data.

Free up your WhatsApp number

1. To move your number to another provider on the API, use Meta's migration (see note).
2. Only if you want to delete the WhatsApp account: open the app and go to “Settings > Account”.
3. Tap “Delete account”, enter your number with country code and confirm.

This is Mercately's article for deleting the number: it's irreversible and discards your history, groups and backup. It isn't required to switch providers; check the general rule first. General rule: official API numbers move to a new provider through Meta's phone-number migration between providers, or by deleting or disconnecting the number; QR/WhatsApp Web tools only need you to log out. Approved templates belong to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA): if Mercately owns the WABA, you may need to recreate them. Cancel Mercately without losing data

1. Before cancelling, export your contacts, chats and pipeline with the steps above.
2. Go to “Settings > Payment plans” and select “Cancel plan”.
3. Complete the form and confirm the cancellation.

The plan isn't cancelled immediately: it stays active until the next renewal. Per its privacy policy, data-deletion requests go to soporte@mercately.com and are answered within 30 days. Based on Mercately's public documentation, reviewed on September 29, 2026; menus may change.

Import everything into ChatSales

1. Create your ChatSales account.
2. Import your contacts from the CSV or Excel file, keeping your tags as labels.
3. Recreate your sales pipeline stages.
4. Connect your WhatsApp number via the official API or coexistence.
5. Turn on the AI assistant and give it your business information.
