Migrate from Interakt to ChatSales

Export your contacts from Interakt

1. Export your entire contact list or a filtered set of contacts.
2. Download the file as CSV.

Format: CSV. The documentation doesn't name the exact button or the fields included. Chat history export isn't documented publicly: save important conversations before cancelling.

Free up your WhatsApp number

1. To move your number to another provider on the API, use Meta's migration (see note).
2. Only if you decide to delete it: open Meta Business Manager, go to “Business Settings > WhatsApp Accounts”.
3. Select the account, click “Settings”, scroll down and open “WhatsApp Manager”.
4. Click the trash icon to delete the number from the API.
5. Wait a few minutes before using it on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.

Per Interakt, the number can't be deleted until 30 days after the last paid message; once deleted it can't be used as an API number with any provider again, and data and history are lost. Compare this with migrating between providers before deciding. General rule: official API numbers move to a new provider through Meta's phone-number migration between providers, or by deleting or disconnecting the number; QR/WhatsApp Web tools only need you to log out. Approved templates belong to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA): if Interakt owns the WABA, you may need to recreate them. Cancel Interakt without losing data

1. Before cancelling, export your contacts, chats and pipeline with the steps above.
2. On Interakt's FAQ page, use the link to request cancellation (it opens in WhatsApp).

The page doesn't detail a notice period or a data-retention period.

Import everything into ChatSales

4. Connect your WhatsApp number via the official API or coexistence.
