Free up your WhatsApp number

1. On the official API, ask your new provider to start Meta's phone-number migration.
2. Or delete or disconnect the number from the API before connecting it elsewhere.
3. If you connected by QR/WhatsApp Web, log out of that linked device.

General rule: official API numbers move to a new provider through Meta's phone-number migration between providers, or by deleting or disconnecting the number; QR/WhatsApp Web tools only need you to log out. Approved templates belong to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA): if Wati owns the WABA, you may need to recreate them. Cancel Wati without losing data

1. Before cancelling, export your contacts, chats and pipeline with the steps above.
2. Contact Wati's Billing team through the help widget in the Team Inbox or the help center.
3. Or email billing@wati.io to end your plan, with your Client ID, registered email or phone.
