Chloe AI: how ChatSales' AI assistant answers your WhatsApp

Chloe AI is ChatSales' AI assistant: it answers your business's WhatsApp messages using only the knowledge you approve, in your customer's language, and hands the conversation to your team when it doesn't know something or when a teammate replies. You create it in 3 steps from the Chloe AI menu.

Chloe AI: how ChatSales' AI assistant answers your WhatsApp

What is Chloe AI?

It's the AI assistant that comes with ChatSales. It answers your customers on WhatsApp with your business information (shipping, prices, hours, policies) and hands the chat to someone on your team when needed.

Where does it get its information?

From knowledge cards you control. It can create them from a page of your website, from files (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text) or from your recent chats, but they arrive as drafts: it only answers with the ones you approve.

What happens if Chloe doesn't know the answer?

It's instructed not to invent prices, policies or times: it says it will check with the team. If it can't answer twice in a row, or if someone on your team replies in the chat, it steps back, tags the chat and leaves a note.

What Chloe AI is

Chloe AI lives in the ChatSales menu. It answers your customers on your WhatsApp number (official API or QR) with what it knows about your business, in seconds and at any hour, and when needed it leaves the chat to your team with a note on what happened.

You decide what it knows

Knowledge cards are question-and-answer pairs. You can write them by hand or import them from one page of your website (only that page), from PDF, Word, Excel, TXT, CSV, Markdown or HTML files up to 5 MB or from your recent chats. Imported cards arrive as drafts:

Watch it reply (and hand over)

Press play. Chloe answers from an approved card; when it doesn't know, it doesn't make things up and hands over. As soon as Ana replies, Chloe steps back.

Languages and style

  • 6 languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, Malay, Chinese and Tamil. Choose which you allow and a default, or let the AI decide.
  • It replies in the customer's language if you allowed it; otherwise in the default. Each reply is checked so it doesn't answer in the wrong language.
  • Tone: friendly, professional or casual, with or without emoji.
  • It splits long answers into short WhatsApp bubbles (up to 5) and can wait a few seconds to group a customer's rapid-fire messages.

When it hands the chat to your team

WhenWhat Chloe does
When it can't answer twice in a rowIt sends your handover message and stops.
When someone on your team replies in the chat (from the phone too)It steps back in that chat. You can turn this off.
When you add the tag by handIt stops in that chat.

When it hands over, it tags the contact (for example "Human support") and leaves an inbox note with the reason and the last messages. It won't reply in that chat again until someone removes the tag. When it's back, it reads what your team told the customer so it doesn't contradict them.

Extras you can turn on

  • PDF quotes: you set up a catalog (up to 100 products) with pricing rules; the system computes the total, not the AI.
  • Follow-ups: if the customer goes quiet, Chloe writes again (up to 3 times, respecting your quiet hours).
  • Contact memory: it saves details the customer already gave so it doesn't ask again.

They're off by default; you turn them on in Chloe's menu.

What Chloe doesn't do

  • It doesn't book appointments and has no calendar.
  • It doesn't charge or process payments.
  • It doesn't answer from draft cards or invent prices: if it doesn't know, it hands over to your team.
  • It doesn't replace your team: it answers the usual questions and lets a person close.
